How to create and update menu items

Keep your menu fresh and accurate by adding new products or updating existing ones in the Vendor Portal. This ensures customers always see what’s available — and what’s not.

✅ To Add a New Menu Product:

  1. Log into the Vendor Portal

    Go to https://portal.heyyou.com.au/ and log in with your credentials.

  2. Go to the “Menu” Tab

    From the main dashboard, click Menu in the navigation bar.

  3. Click "Search or Add Products" field

    From the field, select "Create New Product..."

  4. Enter Product Details

    • Product Name (e.g. Iced Latte)

    • Description (optional, but useful for customers)

    • Image (optional, but helps sales)

    • Vendor code (optional, but helps to nickname products)

    • Category (select which category the product will sit in)
    • Price (e.g. $5.00)
    • Status (e.g. available, sold out for X hours, unavailable)

     

  5. Add Modifiers (Optional)

    Use modifiers for things like:

    • Milk options (e.g. Oat, Almond, Soy)

    • Sizes (Small, Medium, Large)

    • Extras (Add syrup, extra shot, etc.)

     

  6. Click “Save”

    Once your product is complete, click Save to publish it to your live menu.

 

 


 

 

✏️ To Update an Existing Menu Product:

  1. Find the product on your Menu

  2. Click anywhere on the product

  3. Make changes to the name, price, description, or modifiers

  4. Click Save to update instantly

 

 


 

 

🗑️ To Temporarily Hide a Product:

To hide it temporarily, toggle off “Available” — the product will stay in your menu but won’t be visible to customers

💡 Tip: Use this for out-of-stock products or rotating specials.
